This is article about Virtualization of server. and in this section i will give information about OpenVZ,KVM,Xen and Cloud VPS..

so why i give this info ?
because we can build the virtualization from it all. you can use OpenVZ or KVM or Xan and Cloud VPS. and you can know different about it all with this article.

[#] OpenVZ

OpenVZ is a virtualization platform is Linux-based and based on Linux Kernel. OpenVZ allows a physical server to run multiple isolated operating system instances known as containers.

OpenVZ can only run a linux based operating system like Centos, Fedora, Gentoo, and Debian. One disadvantage of OpenVZ users can not modify the kernel.

All virtual servers have to hang out with the version of the kernel running on the host. But because it does not have the overhead of a hypervisor really very quickly and efficiently through the KVM, Xen, KVM, VMware and Cloud.


[#] KVM, Xen, VMware

Three types of VPS platform can be grouped into the same category because they work almost identically. The difference is they have will not be visible on the virtual server and the end user.

All three platforms offer true virtualization of resources are not shared between the host kernel or other virtual servers. Almost all operating systems can run on three platforms. We chose to use the KVM platform because it is supported by the operating system that we use CentOS as the host OS.

Cloud is a new term large and small are kicking around. There is no true definition of what a cloud or how it should be designed. And in our opinion the term "cloud" that applies to VPS VPS hosting is no different then having failover, redundancy or backup.

So coining a new term "cloud" and the extra hype really do not need. Setting a particular cloud platform running on KVM, XEN or VMware.

The difference is in the type of hardware used. instead must be on the storage server hosts all the data stored on a much larger SAN / NAS array with several disks. Raid is used to prevent the failure of a physical disk in the array.

And in the best case scenario the second array added incase entire array fails. Host servers to access storage via Ethernet. in the case of a server failure server host host parts are on standby to startup when needed. Downtime during failure will reboot of your operating system. In Interserver our cloud configuration running on KVM platform with two storage arrays.

The advantage of the cloud is really overkill. All aspects of a hardware failure that is 100% covered. if you are looking for a solution 0 downtime is really it. Cloud hosting cost more than standard vps server because all the extra hardware required.
